Free training sessions for supplementary schools at the British Museum

Unlocking the potential of…Shakespeare: Staging the World

Do you use the British Museum?

Do you run or teach in a supplementary or community school?

Would you like to bring your students to a museum or gallery but don’t know where to start?

The British Museum is a free cultural venue in Camden, open to everyone. There are over 7 million objects in the collection representing cultures from all over the world and lots of opportunities to do interesting things with a group of children, young people or even whole families.

We are currently offering 15 FREE places on this training session, which will explore how to bring your supplementary school to see the British Museum’s Shakespeare: Staging the World exhibition.

Training will include a tour of the exhibition, guidance on how to run easy group activities with your students and the opportunity to discuss and plan your very own visit.

Tea and coffee will be provided and please ask us about how we can support your language needs as we need any requests in advance.

Where: at the British Museum

When: Sunday 15th July from 2pm-5pm

For more details, please email Sian, the Supplementary Schools Programme Coordinator at shunterdodsworth@thebritishmuseum.ac.uk or call 0207 323 8398.
